Parking and travel

Parking payments

Derbyshire Dales District Council has partnered with PayByPhone so you can now use a text payment service when paying for car parking in the public car parks managed by us. Each car park has its own unique 6 digit reference number which can be found on the side of the payment machine and/or on the App. Cash payments are also available at all of our machines. In some rural areas (such as Hartington and Baslow), the signal strength can be poor, so we would recommend you download the PayByPhone App at home (or where you have Wi-Fi available), follow the instructions to register a valid debit/credit card and your vehicle, before driving to the car park of your choice. Making the payment on the App uses a lot less signal strength so payments should process smoothly. If you do not have a smartphone, you can call PayByPhone on 030 400 7275 and register a valid debit/credit card and your vehicle details and these will be saved for any parking sessions you would like to activate in the future.
