Your District Council will be introducing food waste and recycling collections for businesses from 1st April 2025.
The service will be offered to all business premises in the Derbyshire Dales but please be aware that from 1 April 2025, all businesses in the UK with over 10 full-time equivalent employees will by law, have to segregate their food waste and recycling for a separate collection.
- Businesses will be required to separate their food waste from other waste streams.
- Businesses will also need to separate their dry recyclables, such as paper, card, plastic, metal and glass.
- Food waste and dry recyclables will need to be collected separately from general waste.
We will communicate with our current trade waste customers to ensure they remain compliant.
Therefore, we are asking business owners in the Derbyshire Dales to fill in our online survey so we can better understand your waste requirements.
