The Localism Act 2011 introduces Community Right to Bid (also known as the Assets of Community Value). This gives the local community the right to nominate a building or area of land as an Asset of Community Value. We must consider and determine each nomination.
We have adopted an Assets of Community Value Policy Statement [PDF 151KB] to manage the process when a nomination has been received.
