Matlock walks

Fortnightly Hurst Farm Monday morning walks

Walk leaders: Ross and Graham
Walk level: Easy
Time: 9.30am - 11.00am
Duration: 60 - 90mins

Meet at Hurst Farm Community Centre, 6 Hazel Grove. Come and join us for a nice friendly walk usually on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, depending on Bank Holidays.

Walking’s great for meeting new people and putting a smile on your face. Start at a pace that’s right for you and gradually build up as you get more confident. Tea and coffee afterwards. Bring your Gold Card as we may hop on a bus into Matlock.

Thursday morning walks (weekly)

Here are two walks at the same time around the park and central Matlock area. Walking as part of a small group is a good way to start and keep going. You will make friends, encourage each other and discover new walks in and around your neighbourhood. They are perfect for people who don't fancy intense exercise. You can start off slowly and build up gradually as you get more confident.

We also share cars and walk further afield on good surfaces - Edensor, Black Rocks, Cromford, Alport, Bakewell, Whitworth Park, Conkesbury Bridge, Stanton Moor. Routes are chosen on the day.
