How to pay

Business Rates can be paid in a number of ways:

If you have a debit card or a credit card then you can pay your bill on-line.  All you need to do is visit the on-line payments page and follow the instructions.  This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are currently experiencing a technical difficulty that means that any new Business Rates accounts may not be able to be paid online. If you have received your first Business Rates bill after 13th September, 2021 please make payment in another way. We hope to rectify this problem shortly.

Direct Debit

This is the most convenient way to pay for both the customer and the Council and is the only payment method to give you a choice of payment dates of either the first, tenth or twenty-fifth of the month, in addition to annually and half-yearly.  If you have already signed a Direct Debit Instruction you need take no further action.  If you would like to pay by Direct Debit, please contact the Council (telephone 01629 761 222) and you can set up a Direct Debit Instruction quickly and easily over the phone.

Payments can be made using most debit and credit cards (excluding American Express) over the telephone.  Call 01629 761 295.
