Bolehill Conservation Area is predominantly a rural area, located adjacent to, and continuous with, the north-west boundary of Wirksworth Conservation Area.
The northern boundary of the Bolehill Conservation Area includes properties at the junction of New Road and Nan Gells Hill and continues to the east along Oakerthorpe Road. The southern boundary of Bolehill directly abuts Wirksworth Conservation Area boundary and to the west it includes properties on Bolehill Road and land beyond including the site of the Bage Mine.
The original designation of Bolehill Conservation Area was in January 1976. It currently comprises 8.3 hectares.

Within Bolehill Conservation Area there are 97 buildings, of which 1 is a Grade II listed entry - the former Miners Standard former PH, 9-11 The Lanes, Bolehill.
Bolehill Conservation Area contains no Scheduled Monuments.
Buildings at Risk
The one listed building in Bolehill is currently unoccupied. It will therefore be annually monitored to ensure that it does not become a building 'at risk'.
