In the event that a dog is straying, we will attempt to find the owner(s) and return it. If the owner is not found, the stray dog will be taken to kennels and the owner will have to pay a fee to reclaim their dog plus extra fees for kennelling.

Crowfoot Kennels are based at Church Broughton and are able to deal with enquiries about lost, found and stray dogs 24 hours a day 365 days a year. The Crowfoot team are available to collect stray dogs 8am to 7pm each day, also stray dogs can be taken to kennels until 10pm.
The cost for collecting & keeping a dog is £75 which includes the statutory fee of £25 which is set out in the Environmental Protection Act 1990. There is an extra kennel cost of £20 per day. Full table of charges shown below including a new call out fee which may apply in some circumstances and option for micro-chipping. Since 6 April 2016, it has been a legal rule for all pet dogs to be micro-chipped and if not, could mean a fine of up to £500.

- Day 9 £255
- Each more days (or part of) after day 9 is £20
- Plus any vet’s fees incurred plus VAT
- Micro-chipping £18
- Call out fee of £50 may apply also
