Bin - Green lid (garden)
Residents who subscribe to the garden waste scheme have a 240 litre green lidded bin. The green lidded bin is collected each fortnight. Put your bin at the edge of your property by 7.00am on your collection day.
What to put in your Green Bin
- plants
- weeds
- hedge trimmings
- branches (small or broken up)
- leaves
- grass cuttings
- bark
- bedding from vegetarian pets (e.g. rabbits and guinea pigs)
Please do not add any items that are not listed above. Do not place Ragwort in your garden waste bin or invasive weeds such as Japanese Knotweed, Giant Hogweed, Himalayan Balsam, Rhododendron and Hemlock.
Do not compact and squash your waste into the bin. This prevents it from emptying properly on collection day.
If your waste is stuck inside your bin and it has not emptied, please loosen it before your next collection.
