Corporate Games return this summer

The successful Derbyshire Dales Corporate Games return this summer after an enforced absence caused by the pandemic.

Back for the first time since 2019, the fourth summer Corporate Games – organised by Derbyshire Dales District Council – will take place at Matlock’s Dimple Fields on the evening of Thursday 14 July.

This challenging event pitches together workmates from businesses and organisations across the Dales – and the Council’s Sports Development Team are taking enquiries now by email at sportsdevelopment@derbyshiredales.gov.uk

Mixed teams of 8 to 10 colleagues (at least two must be female) will test their skills at five fun sports – obstacle course, tag rugby, ultimate frisbee, exercise bike/rower duathlon and seated volleyball.

Local businesses and organisations can take advantage of a £50 early bird discount on the £150 entry team fee until 14 June.

A spokesperson for the council's Sports Development team said:
"This is a great opportunity for companies and organisations to come together after a difficult two years to celebrate and have fun.
“The Games will maximise opportunities for teams to build and strengthen relationships and to bring people back to face to face activities in a fun, safe environment."
There will be an 8pm close-of-event barbecue for teams, family, friends and supporters.
