At our full council meeting on 3 March Councillor Michele Morley, many of whose family members live in Eastern Europe, shared her family's experiences against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine.
Councillor Mrs Morley, whose father escaped Russia prior to World Ward II, said at the close of her account: "A vile world situation such as this touches us all and should put our privileged lives into perspective in all our actions. We live in beautiful England. We have homes, clothing, food and freedom. Be grateful."
