Councillors will consider a report on the work that has been undertaken to review the adopted Derbyshire Dales Local Plan.
It advises Members of those aspects of the Local Plan that it is considered will be necessary to modify taking account of an updated evidence base, updated guidance in the National Planning Policy Framework and the National Planning Practice Guidance. The report also outlines a timetable for the next stages of the
review process completion.
The meeting will also receive a report seeking councillors' approval for the submission of an application to the Secretary of State for Rural Area Designation under s157 of the Housing Act 1985, enabling the opportunity for the council to delivery rural exception affordable housing to those residents in need, rather than First Homes which are unlikely to be as affordable to residents of Derbyshire Dales.
This meeting will take place in the Wheeldon Hall at Highfields School, Matlock.
