Emma's 'Apprentice of the Year' award from the Chartered Institute of Housing was open to apprentices across the UK housing sector.
Emma received the top prize at an online celebration event - and her trophy followed by post.
"I'm thrilled. My colleagues in the housing team have been really supportive to me during my time at Derbyshire Dales and I’m so grateful to have been nominated for this award.
"I’m really looking forward to continuing my development within the housing team and I’m excited to see what the future holds for my career."
Emma was the top choice of a panel of expert judges, prestigious leaders representing all parts of the housing sector.
The District Council's Director of Housing Rob Cogings said:
"Emma is a real asset to the team and all of her colleagues are delighted that Emma’s hard work has been recognised by this prestigious award.
"Emma has demonstrated her commitment to personal development with achievement and attainment in learning while contribution in the workplace, exceeding expectations and making a difference to the council’s housing service.
"The judges were also very impressed by her positive outlook and willingness to be creative and innovative."As a bonus, the Julie Cowans Trust awards the apprentice of the year with up to £500 to enhance their career development.
