Apologies but we are again experiencing technical issues with telephone lines to our Council Tax and Benefits departments. Engineers are working to fix the problem.

Make sure you’re registered to vote

We're reminding residents to make sure you are registered to vote in any elections taking place in the coming year.

Each household in the Dales should have received a form as part of the annual canvass to check whether the information that appears on the electoral register for those living at their address is correct.

Dales residents should check all of the information contained in the form is correct and confirm or amend their details online at www.registersecurely.com/derbyshiredales. If there are no changes, households can confirm the existing details by calling 0800 316 1570.

In both cases it is necessary to enter the security codes printed on the form received through the post.

Sandra Lamb, the District Council's Head of Corporate Services, said:
“To vote at future elections residents must be registered, so I would urge them to check the form when it arrives and respond as quickly as possible.

“The easiest way is online or using the freephone number. Alternatively simply return the form to us by post. Anyone who is unable to respond by the methods described can call our helpline on 01629 761335.

"Anyone who isn't currently registered can apply online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or by calling the helpline with your National Insurance Number to hand.”
