Jean Monks, who didn't stand for re-election last month after eight years as a district councillor for Hathersage and Eyam, has handed over cheques of £800 each to the local Citizens' Advice Bureau (CAB), Bakewell & Eyam Community Transport and Ashbourne Community Transport.
In addition to representing the Derbyshire Dales at well over 50 engagements in the county in 2018/19, Mrs Monks pledged to raise funds for charity and also ran a successful Community Awards project.
She said:
"It was an absolute privilege to be an ambassador for the Dales as Chairman of the District of the Derbyshire Dales and important too that I played a part in helping others in our communities through my fund raising efforts. I want to thank everyone who supported those events and everyone who helped me during a memorable year."
