Free health checks for Dales residents

Your District Council is again offering a free health check to local residents.

A drop-in Health Promotion Day at Matlock's Lime Grove Medical Centre from 9am to 4pm on Tuesday 12 March will include a free Boditrax scan, which measures muscle, fat and water percentages, metabolic age and hidden fat around internal organs.

The event, which was a success in 2018, also features free easy and moderate level health walks from the Medical Centre at 10am and 12.30pm.

The District Council's Sport and Health Development Officer Becky Bryan said:

"Helping to keep local people fit and healthy is one of our priorities and this event is designed to encourage residents to take the first steps to adopting healthier lifestyles in a low-pressure, friendly environment."

More information about the District Council's health initiatives can be found here, including free health walks across the Derbyshire Dales every weekday.
