Free health checks for Dales residents

Your District Council is offering a free health check to local residents.

A drop-in Health Promotion Day at Matlock's Lime Grove Medical Centre from 9am to 3pm on Wednesday 23 May will include a free Boditrax scan, which measures muscle, fat and water percentages, metabolic age and hidden fat around internal organs.

The event also features free easy and moderate level health walks from the Medical Centre at 10am and 12.30pm, plus free stretch and relaxation sessions at 11am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2pm.

The District Council's Sport and Health Development Officer Beck Bryan said:

"Helping to keep local people fit and healthy is one of our priorities and this event is designed to encourage residents to take the first steps to adopting healthier lifestyles in a low-pressure, friendly environment."

More information about the District Council's health initiatives can be found here, including free health walks across the Derbyshire Dales every weekday.
