Nominations window for Parliamentary election

The nominations window to stand as a candidate in June’s Parliamentary election opens at 10am on Monday 8 May, closing at 4pm on Thursday 11 May.

Your District Council is organising the election for the Derbyshire Dales constituency seat on 8 June and requires every would-be candidate to submit a Nomination Paper before the deadline.

To stand in the General Election, prospective candidates must be at least 18 years old, a British citizen, a citizen of the Republic of Ireland or a citizen of a Commonwealth country who does not require leave to enter or remain in the UK, or has indefinite leave to remain in the UK.

Anyone not already registered to vote in the General Election must register by midnight on 22 May, new postal vote applications must be received by 5pm on 23 May and new proxy vote applications by 5pm on 31 May.
