Welcome to our new-look website - we hope you like it!
In a fast-moving digital world, there’s no time to stand still. That’s why we’ve re-launched the site with an optimised viewing option for the increasing number of you who access it using mobile devices.
Website use continues to increase massively. We’ve had over 795,000 visits in the past year (28% up on 2014/15) and an impressive 2.45 million hits in total over that period.
And our analytics reveal that well over half of you now access the site using either a mobile phone or a tablet. We’ve also taken the opportunity to refresh the site, making the navigation simpler.
The new site is once again built using a free (open source) content management system, and we worked with two Derbyshire Dales web companies - Tor Studio of Matlock and Boulder Design of Wirksworth - to do the design and development work.
We had a positive response to the new look from a pre-launch survey of people signed up to our e-newsletter - the vast majority taking part prefer the new site, with 85% telling us the new version is very easy or fairly easy to navigate.
Comments include: "Love the tab headings. They mean things. I understand the language"; "Clean, straightforward, uncluttered appearance"; "Brighter, more eye catching and feels more welcoming and healthy"; and "Very friendly and interactive design for a tablet".
