Election jobs

We always need casual staff to help with elections, on election day in polling stations throughout the district and also to count votes afterwards. Use this simple form to apply and see the list of jobs and rates of pay below.

This year, as a result of guidance issued by the Electoral Commission, we need more people to work in our polling places than usual. This additional resource will be employed to give guidance to voters as they arrive, make sure that the premises remain Covid safe throughout the day and during busy periods managing any queues in a Covid-safe way to reduce the likelihood of transmission of the virus. Training and protective equipment will be provided.

For your peace of mind, we've published details about how polling stations will be made safe on our website at www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/PollingDaySafe
