Walks for All - Fully Accessible Dementia Friendly Walk and Talks
Dementia Friendly Walks July-Sept 2022 PDF (1.1MB)
Very Easy Fully Accessible Walks Tuesdays. Walking Works! Walking is for everyone. It’s free, simple and gentle on the body. You can do it on these short accessible, wheelchair friendly walks (though the Whitworth Park is on a slope).
We are working in partnership with the Peak District National Park to offer more Dementia friendly walks.
Everyone is welcome to join these Very Easy walks which will also enable those living with dementia and carers supporting loved ones to enjoy meeting, enjoying the outdoors and sharing experiences. All walks start and finish at a great cafe so bring some money for a cuppa and more of a chat afterwards.
We guarantee a warm welcome and a programme of walks designed specifically for you at your pace (15 – 75 mins) .
If you need someone to support you, please don’t come on your own as unfortunately we can’t offer any additional support. Please contact us and we will try to accommodate you (see below).
