Very Easy (Dementia Friendly) Walks Tuesdays

Walking Works! Walking is for everyone. It’s free, simple and gentle on the body. You can do it on these short accessible, wheelchair friendly walks (though the Whitworth Park is on a slope).

Dementia Friendly Walks Jan-Mar 2020 (PDF 864KB)

We are working in partnership with the Peak District National Park to offer more Dementia friendly walks.

Everyone is welcome to join these Very Easy walks which will also enable those living with dementia and carers supporting loved ones to enjoy gentle exercise, good company and the great outdoors.  All walks start and finish at a cafe so bring some money for a cuppa and more of a chat afterwards.

We guarantee a warm welcome and a programme of walks designed specifically for you at your pace (15 – 75 mins) .

If you need someone to support you, please don’t come on your own as unfortunately we can’t offer any additional support. Please contact us and we will try to accommodate you (see below).
