Housing Land Supply Annual Position Statement
The Housing Land Supply Annual Position Statement presents the District Council’s five year housing land supply position as of 1st April 2018 and sets out how this position complies with national policy and guidance. The National Planning Policy Framework published 24th July 2018 (NPPF 2018) sets out that local planning authorities should identify and update annually a supply of specific deliverable sites sufficient to provide a minimum of five years’ worth of housing against their housing requirement set out in adopted strategic policies or against their local housing need where the strategic policies are more than five years old.
The relevant five year housing land supply period therefore covers the period 1st April 2018 to 31st March 2023. The information contained in this document is correct in respect of the time period it covers but due to the nature of housing supply and delivery the position will be subject to change over time.
