A small number of properties are not suitable for a blue-lid recycling bin because of access difficulties, and such properties are provided with 2 blue bags - one for paper and cardboard and the other for plastic bottles and containers.
Blue bags are collected each fortnight along with the blue box and food caddy. The blue bag should be placed at the edge of your property by 7.00am on your collection day.
What to put in your two blue bags
Bag one
- newspapers
- magazines

Insufficient number of bags
Usually only two recycling bags will be provided per property. We'll take additional material if placed at the side of your recycling bags providing it is easily identified as recycling material and is suitably contained. Use transparent containers (such as stacker boxes) rather than black bags so that the content can be easily identified. Additional bags can be requested if you have extra recycling on a regular basis online request form.
